and are yours mille fleur or do you consider them calico? Thanks!
Oh my gosh he is the most beautiful rooster I've ever seenI have had some very bazaar colors too. It's so fascinating to me... these odd balls. I love Pearl. I breed peafowl too.. just started but, love them. It's a lot different than chickens because every gene that isn't ole fashioned india blue is a recessive gene. so you deal with a lot of splits and you wait a long time for the next generation (takes 3 years to breed sometimes) So, when you get an oddball, chances are it could be a new gene that "popped up." These birds are put back to the parent birds in hopes of creating a new variety. ..anyway, wondering how many new varieties we could have created from MFC culls. I had (what I think is) the beginning of salmon and blue columbian (he was from a blue mottled and columbian) That lemon look I've had several times... wondering if that's "citron"![]()

Wanted everyone's opinion on this boy. He was purchased from a breeder in Ohio along with 2 hens by his prev owner. Well he became very cage aggressive and there perv owner found out I was going to be getting rid of all my extra young calico cockerials and wanted a trade. I was like " not interested as I have enough boys" well he brought him anyway when coming to get his new boy. I took one look ad snatched him up.
"Ruffus" now is a very happy and very friendly boy who now has become one of my main breeders in my growing and improving Millie flock. I'm glad I got him and got the better end of the deal here. I've had a yr now and very happy to own him
Thanks!

He is really nice looking. Have you hatched many chicks from him? I would love to see what you've got?

The top one in the first picture is probly my favorite. I know it's still very soon to judge but she already appears to be gaining some pattern and they both seem to be the rounder ones you have.
