Mille Cochin Info

Pics
Hey Triple T, You'll find this group of folks to be very helpful. Once your boys arrive, post pics and we'll help in any way we can. And check out my page ... there is a mille fleur page that hosts many of our projects and has detailed descriptions of which paths we have taken and what progress we've made. Enjoy.

Hi. I recently purchased 4 MF cochin bantams and have found this thread to be very helpful. Hope to get some pics of my birds posted soon.

All of my birds are originally from Mike. Most of the birds are one generation removed from Mike, but this cockerel is straight from an egg that Mike sent me earlier in the year. So he gets the credit!

ETA: I should say that all of my **breeding** birds are from Mike. I do have project birds from other sources, but right now I don't plan to use them for breeding.

Oh Wow Doc! He is stinkin' fantastic!

Speechless. Yep, Still Speechless... now the jealousy is starting to kick in.

Will you be renting him out for stud???? Because I want to be first in line.

I can't think of a single pithy thing to say... it's a first. Still Speechless.

Welcome new mille owners!

Thanks guys!

So far, though, the only credit I get is for being lucky enough to get a great egg.

When this upcoming generation starts laying, then I *may* also deserve credit for selecting good parents -- but that part has yet to be proven!

I just hatched two millie cochin chicks, and I wanted to know about their down colors. Do they mean anything? They are both getting some wing feathers and they are light yellow/white with a black shaft and a black dot. Does this mean they will have some millie coloring? I will try and take pics tomorrow.

THanks,
Debbie
