The candy corn/gold necked ones are very attractive! This roo has lots of white

I don't plan to keep him if anyone is interested.
I notice on a couple pullets

who really show the buff columbian heritage. They have some black tipping, some white. Am thinking of holding the pullets to match with a black mottled roo

.
The pumpkins were done growing so took some fall photos. Now its frosted a couple nights, man..not looking forward to winter.

oohh pick me pick me......
i was liking the ones with more white anyway... i'm not sure if that's what you guys are wanting as far as developing the colorgenes, but i'm very partial to the mostly white ones.. i think you guys are calling them candycorn??

i don't know what would be involved with getting him to vegas, or how much you want for him, but if noone closer and easier steps up i'll give him a good home... then i'll find him a girlfriend....

and i will get through the thread, i just didn't have the brain to do it this afternoon.. lol... and i'll pop over and check out the yahoo group eventually.. but i have a tiger cub den i've got to get settled... and a house to get organized and a house to find to move to.. and um.. eggs in the bator... and a daily hunt for egg hiding places.... and... and... and... is it nap time yet???

if you guys didn't see if in the id this thread, this is my banty coop.. if i get into these guys for breeding i'll get them their own coop so i know who's babies they are and we don't end up on Maury...

They look like pretty little COCHINS!

I'm definitely going to breed for MFC but your little, mostly white cockeral make me think about Candy:

and Splash:

First, I'll see how they do at producing MFC before I play with
CCC...

Nancy, Candy & Splash are just precious! And it looks like they are developing nice type.

Shylee, do you have pics of the parents of your adorable little 'white' roo? I'd be very interested in knowing what color is in his lineage.

Next week can't get here fast enough for my two little pullets from Lynne!!

Pale Male, white cockerel, is $10 plus shipping $55 which includes the box. Evonne--Shipping to Vegas area should be no problem
Weather is cool enough, good time of year to ship. I just received 12 silkie chicks from Florida which did fine.
Coopa Cabana--Pale Male's parents--I just deleted off BYC the pic of the sire of all my 2009 MFC chicks! (i can recover it at home to send)He was dark red with good white spotting--his lineage was to Lynne's birds. He was from Jeanne (sidecardog) and looked very similar to some she had for auction earlier this fall. As for the dam, I am guessing it was one of the buff columbian hens...my buff cols were a very light buff

i'll have to see if i can convince hubby that i need that much money for what i'm sure he'll say is "a darn chicken".... lol....
all the ones we have so far are from the feed store for $3-4 each.... and he threw a fit when i brought the batch of banties home... but hten he just went and spent $50 on an incubator when i said i found the first nest.. lol.. who knows with him... i'll see... don't hold him for me.. but if he's still around when i can round up the $....

OK, here is a question......

Someone has gorgeous barred buff cochin bantam eggs for sale (I had 1 roo, but evil befell him)

would the barred buff help or hinder the MFC breeding program?
