According to OKCarla, the MFC egg came with some hatching eggs she ordered from California. Now I have TWO relatively light boys (Tornado is light as well). Might consider trading him later on... especially since that brings me to 4 pullets and 3 cockerels.
Actually, I take that back. He's already showing good conformation at *two months old*. I think I'll just have to scrounge up the cash and buy him his own "harem".
Our eggs from Lynne are growing like gangbusters! We candled for the second time last night and have TEN chickies wiggling in the shells! Hatch date is the 12th. Keeping my eyes crossed . . .
The Lemon Blues had me so tempted! I really like them as well but the MF really took the cake so here I am. The color is just such icing on the cake. The bantam Cochins are my loves first and foremost.
But one day when I am rich.......

It looks to me she/he doesn't have much in the way of wattles. I would wait to decide on this one and I would actually go by the wattle development rather than by comb size.
I had one that I was *sure* was a roo by the comb size, but the wattles didn't develop at all and by about 4 months it finally dawned on me it was a pullet, about the time the typical pullet buff coloring started coming in!
Some cochin pullets are blessed with a larger comb!
