She lives so close to me compared to most breeders that I was able to get some eggs without all that shipping nonsense! I'm so excited! There's such a wonderful assortment of colors that came out of those eggs! As of this past Easter weekend, I have 3 light yellow, 7 medium darkness skunk striped, 1 dark gray skunk striped and 1 light caramel skunk striped SPUNKY little cochin! I should take more pictures of them, I've just been so hypnotized by their cuteness! I can't wait to see what they will all grow up to look like.

These babies are the sweetest. Sounds like you got a nice assortment & will have many to choose from. Fingers crossed for lots of pullets

Ok, here's what I have:
7 week old cockerel by Lynne's Sergio:

7 week old pullet by Lynne's Fernando:

11 month old pullet:

Due to no cockerel old enuf (I have a 3 month old but no current photo), I bred the pullet to a nice buff with great type and cushion and I got several babies split to Mille:

Anybody want to venture a guess what these babies will feather out like?

Lolita! Your chicks turned out so nice! Can't wait to see how they grow up. Some of the colors look to be what I am getting. I have got to go take a few new snapshots.

here's a close up of feather growth from one of her pullets in which I hatched

There are consistent white tips but is showing what is called "autosomal barring" which I believe popped up because of this penciling/partridge mommy. It is also sex-linked as roos are completely different looking.

I know it's difficult to cull when you only have a few but, I think, it is pointless to breed from her.

The good thing is you have plenty of folks on here working on the same thing and a lesson learned with color pictures

I took some photos but most of them came out blurry. I'm going to try again tomorrow, I did manage to get a couple ok ones though.

This is Spunky. It's a bit lighter than the ones like the one above, Spunky is the caramel chick I mentioned. This one is so funny, it darts around in circles when it gets excited. My boyfriend thinks it might be brain-damaged.

I think it's just silly and super cute! I adore it already!

As for your two new chicks....I think you have some winners with both of them. The little cockerel is going to be very flashy. Doesn't look as if he will have excess black. I have noticed that my F4 cockerels have greatly improved on color. I'm not getting the black hackles like I had with the F3's last year.

Hi everyone, I recently hatched out 5 chicks from Lynne and was wondering if I could get some input as to the sex of these guys. I have one that is OBVIOUSLY a roo. But these others I just am not sure. I am sure a more trained eye can tell me.

They are 4 weeks old today... Maybe it is too early.
