Thank everyone!!
Lynne, I would LOVE to see some photos of the little roosters you are talking about!! Every time I look at my flock I see color that I didn't see before. These birds simply are amazing. I have two Roosters that I was afraid were going to end up being too dark but every day they have a little bit more red coming in. I should probably go ahead and apologize now. I had the camera out to take some pictures of my new girls yersterday and I went a little picture crazy! Now I am simply dying to share them with everyone! I was able to get some pictures of my new chicks that just hatched and the older chicks that I hatched a few weeks ago.
The older chicks so you can see how they have grown.
This is my younger batch. They are just starting to feather up.
This chick is the result of one of my MF roosters over a blue hen. It was born with a neat blue fawn look to it. It has just started to get wing feathers and they have a blue hue to them as well. I'm just going to have to wait and see what he/she does.
This chick is the result of one of my MF hens and that red/partridge rooster that I posted last week. I love the face on this one.
and here are a couple of pictures I took of my rooster, Le Fleur, that I hatched out of some eggs I got from Lynne last year.
Annie and Naomi fighting over a nest box ( despite the fact that they have two ).
Ok. I'm almost done.
Here are two chicks that I just got from a lady two days ago. She got them from a friend of mine who has been doing some interesting things with crossing different bantam cochin colors. She got them because they were cute but she didn't realize they were bantams. When she figured it out, she asked if I would like to have them. Any guesses on what color these two will end up being???
At first glance I thought this guy was just going to be buff but if you look closely, he has blue feathers coming in on his wings. Strange.
this last guy looks buffish colored to me as well but he has blue streaks here and there. They didn't show up that well in the picture.
