Mille Cochin Info

Mine aren't...in fact, they are much more so than most of my others.

And it doesn't help that two of them have high-pitched, nasal crows, either! LOL My quietest rooster is my LF GLC followed by my Creve.

Some of ours will do that, I think it's a dominance thing.

Earlier this year we had a pen of about 25 bantam cochin cockerels and there was lots of action. Sent most of those little buggers to freezer camp.

LOL Sometimes....do you have photos of the splash? Are you sure it's a roo?

Yes, he crows, plus he hatched with 4 others and they are definately pullets, small pale combs. The splash roo has a much bigger redder comb and wattles and he is always trying to attack my feet. But man Ricky sure puts him in his place, but yuck! Can't he just get in a fist fight or something?

Yep, I have a rooster pen.....there are always boys who are so low on the totem pole they are treated like girls. Definitely a dominance thing. My little bantam partridge cochin was always the lowest in the rooster pen and was BALD. Just like hens often are.
