They really didn't say. He did say that the free AVG anti virus you can download from their website was much better than norton and I went with that for now. Im also looking into carbonite and other online storage back up. I take a gazillion photos of my kids and foolishly haven't backed them up to my external hard drive in more than a year. I knew my hard drive was going down hill quickly so I attempted to backup but, it was 4 gig of info and was going to take an hour to process... anyway, my pc didn't make it and crashed in the middle of transfer and I was terrified I lost it all. Thanks goodness it was just viruses and most files were saved. I only lost programs but pics and videos were still there... none the less, I am going to be the backup storage spokesperson for a good while..

I have AVG free version and it is very good. My computer repair guys recommended it. But on my laptop I don't need any Antivirus b/c I use Linux as my OS.

The computer guy did though... everything's on there now but, they can still burn up so, Im still not 100% sold on it.

I may have misinterpreted the article. My initial impression was that it discouraged breeding color varieties not accepted in the standards yet and suggested a breeder put money/time/resources into improving the accepted color varieties needing improvement. So what sparked me was that I interpreted it to discourage Mille Fleur cochin breeding.
But after visiting with another poultry friend, maybe the article addresses more "designer" type birds. Crossing colors to see what you get, or 2 different breeds.
Also may be a call for help. CI is changing leadership and as all clubs... needs members who have time to dedicate to its function.

I would really, really like some hard honest opinions on my girls. The pictures are not the best, sorry – but we will get better.


Columbus – feathering around her vent has been trimmed but her bum needs a bath, she has some chevron spotting but no full chevrons on her chest:

Dora – feathering around her vent has also been trimmed but her bum could still use a bath. She has a bit more “red” in her feathers and a bit more chevron spotting on her chest.
