My Mille Fleur d'Uccles are laying well. I am offering 6 eggs plus extras for $20 and that INCLUDES shipping. My birds came from Schultz. I have not shown my birds-they are a hobby for me, but Rob and Kathleen have shown theirs. They have beautiful birds, and I happened to be able to get some from them last summer, for which I am very grateful!
These have quickly become my favorite breed, closely followed by Silkies! They are the calmest, sweetest, friendliest birds, from the time they hatch. They get along well with other birds, and my rooster, Mr. Bojangles, is protective of his hens, but he is also a gentleman. He is not aggressive at all. They all have nice vulture-hocks, and good foot-feathering. Right now they look a little ragged, especially Mr. Bo. He got a little too close to the heat lamp that I had hanging for the younger birds, and singed the top off his tail!
I have had very good success shipping. I use the smallest Priority Mail box that I can, and package it very securely. I have never yet had a broken egg sending it this way. It seems to work best to pack well and ship in a smaller box, and then the box doesn't get smashed like the bigger boxes do. Each egg is wrapped in a large piece of bubble wrap and taped. Then I pack the box with bubble wrap and plastic bags. I have also been shipping glass jars that I have canned (pie filling, jams, and pickles) the same way, and have not had anything break.
Reply to this thread to let me know how many you want. I will fill orders as soon as I get enough eggs, and let you know as soon as I have enough to send, THEN you can send the money to me through Paypal. If I haven't heard from you, or received your money when your eggs are ready to send, I will send them to the next person on my list.
ATTENTION PLEASE: If I do not have a reply back from you after a week, I will remove your name from my list. I sent numerous people messages, asking if they were ready for the eggs that they had pre-ordered, and never got a reply from any of them.
