Mille Fleur Leghorns- cockerels or pullets?

I wanted to see what others said before saying anything.
I believe both of yours are cockerels. My pullets usually don't get any comb color until they get close to POL.
My first thought besides them being males were that they had small combs. And ya they do look thick for leghorns.
BUT.....
Ive had MF leghorns from a few sources and to be honest theyve all been junk with about ever flaw.
Ive never had one with decent comb size for a LH and most have been to stocky. Ive also had red or red/white lobes as well as white shanks. Also some that laid tinted eggs.
The yellow legs is a great sign and their pattern is beautiful. They look more calico then MF but I like that and have never seen it on a MF leghorn.
Most that I had had a poor pattern. Lots looked buff Columbian with very little white.
If you hold on to them a while id love to see how they mature.

I hatched those myself and I don't have welsummers just leghorns so....
Ive had both breeds at the same time in the past and although some I could tell apart most I couldn't until the lobe color came in.
No big deal and you were right it does look like a welsummer because both breeds look so much a like.
Both are gold duckwing pattern just welsummers have mahogany also.

Yeah baby welsummer cockerels have no visible markings and are very red, while females have dark bold markings.
But take heed, I was once mislead going by color only.

I wouldn't necessarily say they weren't purebred. Depends how you look at it. Myself id call them poor quality MF LHs. But ya like most every new variety they had another breed introduced and then weren't bred back to the leghorn standard so well.
On second thought I'd call them MF LH project cockerels. That sounds better

My wellie cockerels get black feathers on their chests at about 4-5 weeks while the girls stay red/salmon. It's always a little disheartening to walk out there and see black speckles starting on a few of their breasts...
