millie fluer cochins?

4hooves&featheredfriends :

Maybe I got lucky but I snagged one from a bantam feather-footed bin at the feed store. As she matures her colors get more impressive. She and my partridge (grey/black) pattern cochin are my favorites.

i didnt know they were sold at hatcheries

and partridge isn't gray and black

I'm right within an hour's drive from you. I have some F2 eggs coming along. Something like a one in four chance for decent mille fleur from those. I have a short waiting list, probably two weeks worth. They are trying to go broody right now... gah! Anyhow... I have a small flock of actual mille fleur pullets coming along, and a completely unrelated rooster to put on them later on this fall. Maybe I have something you want.

Does anyone know what this chicky will be ?

I want to incorporate frizzle in with my molted babies...I have 2 black frizzle hens that are both very nice but the rooster is a one lady man. He treats the little b/w girl like a queen...won't let anyone else near her. It's the sweetest thing.

I was beyond happy when my little molted girl started laying daily...I collected all of her eggs for 10 days and everyone hatched. This was the only chick that came out like this. The rest are back and yellow spotted.(in my avatar). She is now sitting on 5 herself...she is sooooo tiny that I really don't think she can have more then 5. Now that she's sitting on eggs maybe he will like the frizzle girls....the rooster lives with his molted girl in the maternity coop we made and doesn't bother her ...maybe I'll just move him with the others though. Sorry if this is the wrong thread...
