millipedes???

We started a compost heap in the back yard about a month ago. And this evening when adding to and pitch forking it I found about a 1/2 dz millipedes in it. Is this a good sign? I know that earth worms are good for composting but what about these little freaky guys?

But I bet the chickens would sure like to eat them!

I dont like them, but the chickens will love them..... phobia about crawlies....yak!
