I have a question: What genes are involved with Red Breasted Birchen, or Red Breasted Duckwing colorations?

Red Breasted Blue Birchen.

I’m guessing he has the dark brown gene which would enable a red body (unlike Columbian which doesn’t show up on birchen.)
He has a gold neck which means to me he probably is not mahogany but idk.

Red breasted duckwing like can just be caused by mahogany.
My brother works with Welsummer bantams and the males have quite the range. They are supposed to be black with some orange spangling but… some have almost black breasts, some have almost orange breasts, and there’s everything in between.

He was a Brown chick with blue, so it could be Db. Will find out when I cross him to the other game hens next spring/early summer.

Only issue I have with the Db thing is that the father was a solid blue chick, & feathered out golden, blue, birchen without red/orange in the breast. His father didn't have color in his breast until he turned 2.

What about his mother?
My problem with DB is the lack of color in the wing triangle.
Is that possible? Idk.
So maybe it is mahogany after all :idunno
However, Marans have mahogany without looking quite like that but maybe that comes down to selection.

Mother is Gold Duckwing.
