My dad and I are getting the ball rolling on getting chickens. We are looking to get EEs, and I was wondering if all hatcherys have the 25 min order for chicks. We are only looking at wanting around 5.

x2, Its better as its less of a chance that they'll die in shipping, you also won't have to pay a fortune for having only a few shipped.

I don't like feed stores so much because you don't really pick what breeds they have, and TSC around here has a minimum of 6, which is twice as much as MPC for us, which is three. Plus, I think it's just plain cute seeing them in the little box, and having to wait so long for them to ship is something that I don't like doing, but is strangely addicting! The last few reasons, though, may be stupid and unreasonable from a different point of view.

There are lots of aspects of raising chickens that are strangely addictive and possibly beyond reason.

Cackle also has a small minium order. Just double check that just because you order 5 Chicks there not going to throw in 10 or 15 Roosters for warmth.
