Well my shotgun is cleaned, the camo job on the duck boat has been touched up, and questionable decoy lines have been replaced. Oh and I changed out the spark plugs on the 1974 Johnserude. I'm ready to whack em and stack em.

I heard yotes off in the not so distance this morning when I was leaving for work. Close enough for me to take a quick lap around bith my coops

Heard a shot gun blast about 1 am then some howling/barking, then some rather strange noises. I figured that someone got a 'yote, but had to run down to 'pacas to make sure the strange noise wasn't an alarm call. By the time I got back to the house, heard 2 more shots. Busy night.

To anyone growing BBB or BBW turkeys... How high will they jump/fly? DW and I are considering growing a small batch to butcher next year and are considering housing. Would a electric netting fence keep them in if they had everything they wanted/needed inside?

The area where we would want to keep them (which is far from the chickens) is unlevel ground with small walnut trees growing around. We are thinking a large area inside the electric netting that we could move around would be better than a tractor type setup both in ease of care and in terms of turkey life quality.

We hear them every night. It used to be just one, but now there is a chorus.
