Minnesota!

Thankful they allow them. But not for that fee! I previously lived in Woodbury which is not a chicken friendly city. I had both chickens and ducks under cover in my back yard ;)

What ever they change for a dog license should be the max for a chicken license. I personally think it is a deterant as they really don't want them.

I would like to see what those people who are anit-chickens actually eat. They complain about chickens being kept, yet how many of them enjoy eggs and chicken to eat? Probably all of them. Yet, they find fault with people who want to keep a few hens for their own fresh eggs. It is truly unbelievable to see/hear the misinformation ignorant people have about chickens and the impact on people and the environment that they have. Some would tell you that it is unhealthy to keep chickens around, but they have 3 dogs crapping in their yard every day. I have dogs, I love them, but they poop and it isn't something you can or want to put in your garden where you grow food to eat yourself.
It is too bad that there has to be that struggle for some people just to have 3 hens.

People in Hudson are trying to get chickens allowed, I'm helping but thankfully it doesn't effect me. But holy cow that's a lot a dog license for me is only $15!!!!

When i was house hunting last summer i was looking at Hudson. I was under the impressionthat hens were allowed?

Hello fellow Minnesotans!

I'm 6 days from the arrival of my chicks, so I'm just popping in to say hi!

Any one around the area raise polish chickens? Are they pretty intolerant of our Minnesota winters?
