Minnesota!

I already served that at Friendsgiving. Cooked on a big green egg and smoked a little too. It was so good. Short notice for this so it is a 17-pound butterball. Please don't hate me for doing a store bought. I just don't have the time to find and go get a free range. Plus the $$$$.
Oh, right, I forgot about Friendsgiving... sounds tasty!
It's okay about the butterball, we don't judge

I have not had much issue with any birds getting sour crop except Welsummers. I forget now how many of them I have had get it, and almost always from pigging out on grass. I think I have only lost one though, the rest I got cleared up.
how common is sour crop? will we eventually have to deal with it? or does it depend on the chicken?

When are these four free-loading pullets going to lay?!?! I feel I have been more than patient

They'll be 28 weeks on Thanksgiving.... maybe I'll invite them to dinner.... LOL kidding of course.... Everybody is actually free loading right now

Just a pic of the coop from today while it was snowing. Some of them actually ventured out!
And the dog was gobbling up "treats" dispensed from the back end of a chicken....

Some of my original girls... Lucy the SLW is working through a pretty tough molt right now. That's Mabel the BA in the middle and Meredith by big broody mama BA on the right
