Minnesota!

This poor girl I'm not sure what to do about her first it was her ears and now it's her eyes. I noticed yesterday she was scratching her eyes quite a bit. Then today when I was giving them mealworms I noticed how bad her eyes were. So after they all went to roost I went and got her and brought her back into the bathroom and gave her some leftover antibiotics that I had from my dog when she had her teeth pulled. I figured the dosage should be the same since my dog only weighs 4 1/2 lbs. I hope this works otherwise I might have to put her to sleep permanently. I would hate to do that because she has always been my favorite one since the day I got them. She seems to be the only one that ever has any problems. Right eye

After coming in from trimming a tree and watching a somewhat disappointing first half of the Vikings game I went out to winterize my motorcycle. I put stabilizer in the gas and fired it up to let it draw it into the carbs and corn kernels come shooting out of the exhaust! Those darn mice!!

Sorry, was having visions of using a motorcycle as a popcorn popper!

I am so sorry that you have more to deal with. The poor girl and you, for having to wonder about those tough decisions.

Are you giving them extra light? If not, you won't see much for a while. Even if you had lights on, this time of year they aren't as anxious about laying as if it were September. You have such nice digs, I think a 60W bulb would get them laying pretty quick. Look how red their heads are! They are such lovely ladies too, I should find where you got them from. Oh, yeah, it was me!!! LOL
No, I don't supplement light. I like to let my old girls take a break in the winter so I guess that means I'll have to wait for the young girls. They check out the nest boxes every now and then, but no squatting yet. I guess I will just continue to be patient

Bovans, Asian Blue roosters (no longer with us), and me applying pressure to a wound on my goat. The goat is healing..
That EE is great. Love the puffy cheeks. Good work taking care of the goat!! Seems like it is really comfortable with you helping it. Really nice looking property. It is a life style I would really love. Although I would really miss my friends.

We have the unexpected baby goat! Its been quite a learning exoerience and it is still touch and go with the little one. I do not recommend having a baby goat this time a year!

Hey! sorry I got it wrong. I've been telling everyone about your cute baby and was wondering how it's doing! Hope he/she makes it! I'd probably have mom and babe in the house!
updates and pictures!
