Minnesota!

Just throwing this out there...was wondering if anyone would be interested in a couple of buff barred cochin bantams? They're about 8 weeks old and I think both pullets but really am not sure...I know on my full size Cochins by 8 weeks they had some really good wattles goin on and these guys don't seem to...

I'm wondering if anyone has a sulmtaler roo available?

I ordered 4 breeds to hatch from a woman in new brighton who was hatching eggs, and she must have gotten very mixed up as most of the chicks are not the breeds I ordered. Surprise, I have three sulmtaler pullets, and it took a while to identify those as the woman isn't responding to any request from me for more info.

Anyway, they are a bit of a rare breed, and I am looking for a rooster.

Hey fellow Minnesotans! I just hatched my first Silkie chick yesterday, but the two others in the incubator haven't even pipped yet (today is day 22). Still crossing my fingers, but I'm hoping someone nearby (East Bethel) might have some newborn chicks in case the singleton needs a few buddies. Would love a Silkie, Frizzle, Sizzle, Polish, or Jersey Giant, but certainly open to other breeds as well so this chick isn't lonely. Let me know what you have!

I want to get into Turkeys next year. I want like 4 of the same breed of heritage turkeys (1 for thanksgiving, the others for breeding and eggs) . Can you guys tell me how much coop space they would need and then where I might be able to find them locally? I don't mind driving, but I am already 3 hours north of the cities.

I am redoing my coop this fall so want to make sure that I have planned their space accordingly.

Can anyone tell me QUICKLY how to send my girl in for a necropsy and how to go about it. I know they should be refridgerated but can they be frozen? I really cant just put her in our fridge but we have a freezer in our garage where I could but would that mess with the results?

How should I send her body?

Any help is appreciated :(

Not frozen. You should contact the Minnesota Poultry Testing Lab. 320-231-5170. Kelly is who I usually deal with and she is very helpful. I believe that you would need to take it to the U though for the necro.

Thank you guys so much for your quick responses!

She has perked up a little bit more so I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I just wanted to get familiar before I lose her so I am not a blubbering mess when I am trying to figure it out.
