I don't think she is, there were many feathers in the nesting box where I found her. Do you think she could be betting broody?

I only ask because I had a broody I could not break and she started to loose feathers from sitting so much. I know it wasn't a molt because they are under a year old.

Just went to check on her and she's back in the box. Two broodies.

What's the worst that could happen if you let them be? Would they eventually snap out of it?

Looks like a broody baldness. They will pull feathers so that their hot skin is exposed for the eggs when they go broody.

I had two broody hens that I just put back in the coop. I had to "break" their cluckyness.
