Minnesota!

I'll admit - I would have failed miserably without an auto turner. Highly recommended

@lalaland and everyone... here's the pics. The roo looks rough, but three basics are there to start a little flock. Closest I've found to American. Poor guy, lost his tips.

The hen looks like an English/American cross to me but has the lacing.

The last hen was just for more eggs. She had friendly eyes, lol.

The last pictures are of the coop we are building for them. Yes, I'm so glad we are practicing quarantining!! I'm also glad I have a very patient husband, lol!!

Is the last hen an EE? Very pretty. Nice little coop you have there, too.

Avian lice is species specific, like destiny says, they won't stick around on your body. I don't know about the mites, but I was itching like crazy all through chores and came in and showered. All my clothes came off at the door and they are still in the garage until I run a load of barn clothes tonight.

I thought the blood testing classes had to be registered in advance, I know I had to when I went and it filled up. Maybe that is why they are doing two? It is a good class and it is worth being certified if for no other reason than to be able to test your own birds annually.

@holm25 look on craigslist, you might be able to find a used turner that still works for cheap. The price on those things has gone up a lot in the last few years, the styrofoam incubators too, which aren't much worth it if you ask me.

We use Frontline for our dog. We bought it from the vet and over the counter. I've even purchased it off of Amazon, but not from a third party seller. Some claim Frontline that is purchased over the counter, on Amazon, etc. are fakes. I don't really have an opinion. We haven't had any issues. I just know it's about 50% cheaper on Amazon and that makes me happy.
