Minnesota!

Chicken addict, Is that near Buffalo?

I'm so happy I joined BYC! I think I'm addicted....not only to my chickens, but to this site! No one else seems to understand.
My husband is starting to get annoyed. If my girls don't start laying us some eggs soon, I wonder what will happen to our marriage.

Aitkin.

We have about 50 laying hens...Silve and Golden-laced Wyandottes, Araucanas, Partridge Rock, Buff Brahma, Black sex-linked, Red Stars, and more. Quite a mix.

We also have Royal Palm, Narragansett, Bourbon Red, Standard Bronze turkeys, and an accidental white midget.

Well hello there! You are very close to where I am. I was just at the swap on saturday in isanti at the federated co op. I have seramas, mixed banties, cochins, EE bantams, EE/cochin crosses, and a few other crosses. All bantams

How are the polish with free ranging? I have wanted some buff laced for awhile now but was afraid they'd be as clumsy as the silkies I used to have and be an easy catch for predators. How is their temperment?

The Polish are only 2 days old so haven't done much free ranging yet

But they are hard of seeing like the silkies and I plan to keep them together in a covered pen. I will separate them during breeding season.

I also have BBS Orpingtons, BLRWs, Silkies, Showgirls, Ameracaunas, and Mille Fluer Cochins. Have Marans and Mille Fleur D'Uccles (eggs) coming in the mail this week. Have to have Maran's eggs to go with the Ameracaunas and I don't know why I bought the D'Uccle eggs, the deal was just too good to pass up I guess. 18.50 for more than 2 dozen eggs, including shipping. I guess my finger slipped during the bidding

Hahahaha! been there done that! Mille cochins?!?!?!?! yet another color I have been wanting for awhile now. The wish list is growing and the yard is shrinking! D uccles are just tooo darn cute! Marans and ameraucanas sounds like an olive egger project

I am jealous! Wish I had enough space to accomodate my wish list. Let me know if ya ever want to add seramas to your list of breeds. I have quite a few growing out now. $18.50 for more then 2 doz eggs is a hell of a deal! My finger would slip too

I'm a newbie in the Ham Lake area. First flock: 4 Buff Orps, 3 questionable Araucana/Easter Eggers, and 2 Brahmas... couldn't pass up a bird that comes with Uggs on their feet for the MN winter.
