Minnesota!

They can charge me all they want to. Not getting an additional cent from me.
What am I going to do with 22 Jerseys?

They came in two distinctly different boxes. One was a regular box and the other had a high triangle shape.

I'm not familiar with Jersey Giants. How large do the roosters get? Plummage?

And I wouldn't give them a dime. It's not your problem.

You are brave. I have a hard time selling chicks.

I re-homed my Black Copper Marans Rooster to the owner of the feed store I spend way too much time at. I still have my 5 BCM hens. He said he'd buy chicks from me if I hatch them. For a second I thought about it......for a second......just one.....

Both originally from MN, Range and The Falls, but in NC now. Brothers and sisters in N. Branch. Sister is on here somewhere too. Following just to get a chuckle out of the winter blues. We'll be hatching BLRWs soon as well as a few others. Our focus is on Buffs, especially English Jubilees. We just aquired Jubilee chicks from different breeders to start our breeding program. Already have Splash but sold all but 2 roos which are still up locally.

I say it over and over again on here - I love BLRWs! It's kinda funny because I don't have any. Is there a large poultry community in NC?

The Jehovas witnesses are always at our house. But thats not our religion... So we tell them we have a church and dont need one of the papers but they always leave one on the deck...

Just have your Grandpa answer the door in his underwear and muck boots. They won't come again =)

So I made a Chicken Sh-it Bingo game. Didn't spend a dime. All out of pallets or things I have had. We will be using it at the Rockers Spring Social. It is a motorcycle show event we have every year. What do you think?

This is amazing! Great idea!

Jersey Giants are a heritage breed, the roosters grow to 12-15lbs. Originally bred as an alternate to turkey.
The downside is they are not fast growers, the opposite of CX. The mature birds are a sight to behold.

My nine month old rooster, Eddie, with standard hens.

If I wanted a good layer they would not be my first choice. Are supposed to be excellent meat birds through. Are you interested in a few chicks?

I purchased 5 "Ameraucanas" at the feed store Friday. They're clearly EE's, but not a huge deal to me. Cute little things with their puffy cheeks! I also picked up 3 SS and 2 Golden Wyandottes. My BRs are growing like weeds, too. I definitely veered off of my NO CHICKS THIS YEAR stance. I'll be happy to have them in the coop in a few weeks.

I had to include a picture of my pitiful dog. He'll just stand at the tailgate until we help him in. He's a spoiled beast.

Nah, not at the moment. Although I do really want to say yes. I did read up on the breed a bit and googled some pictures. The Roosters are huge! It's a beautiful bird - especially the blue and splash.
