the first post, have four quail, as a 'gift' can anybody tell me the breed?

There are threads on back yard chickens dealing with “what breed is this” or something like that..... you could post there?

Saturate the affected area with a warm wet paper towel for a minute or two.
IMPORTANT: don’t pull off the poo
ALSO IMPORTANT: don’t get the chick soaking wet
When I’m done I also return the chick to the heat lamp to let it warm up again.
