Minnesota!

Hi from Southern Minnesota--rural Waterville. Our 7 week buff orps just went outside for the first time yesterday. It got pretty chilly today and they went into the coop when it got dark. Good thing!! We are shutting them every night.

Waterville isn't too far from me. I'm in New Richland. Our chicks are only a week old. I'm dying to order a few more. Maybe we cold go in on a order together sometime.

Good to see a local.

Hello from Twin Valley! I'm trying my hands at chickens for the first time. I got severe chickenitis and now have 19! LOL.. I'm getting some guineas with in the next week. I can't wait!

Hi from Scandia, about 15 miles north of Stillwater.

We have some surprise chicks -- Salmon Faverolle x Buff Cochin. The Faverolle laid eggs behind a bush (but didn't set) and since we had a very broody Cuckoo Maran hen, we gave her the eggs to hatch. She did a fab job and we now have 5 gorgeous chicks we don't really have room for.

The roo is calm and sweet and the hens lay a lovely light tinted egg. Both mom and pop have feathered feet, and the chicks do, too. The chicks also have six toes like Faverolles.

If you're interested in some sweet chicks, we will be selling these for $3 each. You can pick them up after June 9 or we can start them for you and you can get them when they are 4-5 weeks old, and don't need a brooder light anymore.

Yeah I have a lot of family telling me I'm nuts for having chickens, it'll be a different story when the want some eggs tho. LOL!

Aw DH thought I was a bit loopy at first but now he spends more time with the cooks than I do!

We have a lot of friends who raise ducks and chickens and a few guineas for fun so its not weird around here at all. I do get called a redneck by the gals at work tho!
