Minnesota!

x10 everybody. It's my first year with birds. What do you suppose is going through their minds seeing the white day in and day out without scratching around in the yard and woods for the last 3-4 months. It must be like a White he** out there to them. LOL. I keep telling them green is coming back.

100X !!!!! My husband heard on the news that last March we had 17 days above 60 degrees and they don't think we will get even 1 day above 50 this year. I think we got really spoiled last year.
I. too, am so looking foward to green grass and baby chicks. I open the door of the coop for my chickens to go out and they come running and then stand in the doorway and look around like "What is all that white stuff!!"
I have 4 of my 14 hens that want to be broodies. I am hatching some chicks for the Pierz auction so I thought I'd let them each have a couple of the chicks that will just be too cute to part with. I'm not sure how this is going to work with them all penned in together, it will be interesting to see how it goes.
THINK SPRING - it will get here someday.

I will be at the Pierz auction, what breeds are you bringing? I will be probably the only one walking with two canes. One black and one brown. Would love to meet you there and have some coffee. Right now I have some Rouen duck eggs in the bator and hope they hatch in time for the auction. I will be getting rid of all my geese and some older chickens plus lots of roosters. On the 21st I am going to class to be a NPIP tester.

I too let me hens outside and most of them goto the doorway and just bask in the sun. Some do go out and get some of the grain that I spread out for the ducks.

Does anyone have goslings available? I hatched a little sebastopol gosling last week and she's the sweetest thing, but she gets lonely when I'm not around so I'd like to get her a friend.
