My creamettes had a good hatch rate, They just do not lay lots of eggs. I must have 20-30 little Creamettes running around here, they are everywhere I look.




Ed had blood on the tip of his spur tonight at chicken TV time. The young Tom has a cut on his breast above his thigh and below his wings, I am thinking of taking a poll to see how many think the two might somehow be related.


JJ chases ED and Ed normally runs, once in while he stands and fights JJ. The young tom think if JJ can chase Ed he can too. Ed never runs from the young tom, the young ton is do stupid to realize this. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this week the young tom has been bleeding and nursing his wounds. I hope he stays alive until mid November or so..

I am not sure about turkeys. I only worked to get a chicken permit. I had to go to zoning for the coop, animal control to have them check the coop and ok the permit and get 80% of my neighbors signatures. We have an apartment building behind us and this 100 feet includes people across the street and 3 houses away. 3 pages of people.

Without getting too high on my soap box I say WT, well I guess I won't say until I am off double secret probation..... You had to get 80% of the people in an apartment building to sign off on YOUR chickens?

I have never seen a chicken mug, rob, assault, steal or harass anyone. I would think a kid that stops to watch chickens and sees them might even be diverted from the boredom of apartment living that allows them to do bad things. I doubt holm will ever shoplift, unless it is at a fed store, he has his chickens to worry about. Its your property, and your chickens Yet someone from animal control, which is usually a young person that can't get a job as a real cop ( read not the top of the class). They have never really raised animals unless they had a Fufu ankle biting dog as a kid. The dog was most likely named Buffy, Biffy or Fufu......

What does the building inspector know about the needs of a chicken? What the building inspector wants is a nice neat air tight energy efficient building, which is exactly what will kill a chicken in our cold winters.......


It is too bad you can't have a couple BBW or BBB turkeys over the summer anyways, I know toms are noisy pains in the rear, but by the time the noise gets bad a BB is ready to eat.


My anti City rant is over, time for my coffee..

Oh and my chicks arrived this morning.
 
Well I had some fresh bullhead for dinner last night and caught enough to bring a few meals home. But one of my legs feels like its about to fall off from sitting in the canoe to long. So im heading up to Silver Bay to try that whole golfing thing. Maybe I can nab a grouse while im digging thru the forest for more balls.

I wonder what I will get to buy with my reward..... Anyone have an idea how much my TIP money will be?
