I am covered in exploded rotten broody egg!! I tapped one of the eggs and boom it happened
I hope you figured out how to sniff first, never tap. LOL I am lucky that my sniffer works so well, I can smell them as soon as I walk in the room when one is in the incubator, or if a hen is on one in the coop (which I don't allow any more).

So far my flock includes:
5 Leghorn hens - 18 months (3-4 eggs a day)
1 hybrid hen - 7 months (nearly an egg every day)
6 Black Australop pullets - 9 weeks
5 Rhode Island Red pullets - 9 weeks
1 Buckeye rooster - 1 year and 12 lbs!
12 black Australop hens - 14 months 10-11 eggs a day
5 silver laced wyandotte pullets - 13 weeks
4 barred rock pullets - 13 weeks
11 Rhode Island Red pullets - 13 weeks
26 (of 30) Cornish X cox - 9 weeks and ready for freezer camp
21 (of 25) Dixie Rainbows - 9 weeks. Cox go to camp in 4 weeks, pullets will be bred to the buckeye for next years broilers

Welcome to the thread KlopKlop. You are quite fortunate to be so close to a source of real quality chickens of many breeds. I of course am referring to Duane Urch or Urch/Turnland. If I was close to that operation I would be tempted to keep way too many different breeds and too many chickens. I might even get up to half as many birds as Duluth Ralphie.

Nice list of birds...and lots of them..

My flock is 29 adult chickens, 3 are roosters...
6 adult turkeys and a bunch of poults...
6 guineas and a bunch of keets..

oh and 73 CX marshmallows on toothpick legs..
