Minnesota!

I finally sold the last 2 started pullets I had. Only get 10 bucks for the 2 but thats not bad since they r so young and forage for their food (unless I have to catch them then I use food or if they r cooped up for some dumb reason). I also butchered a BR roo today. I ended up skinning it out. I am never butchering a roo thats over a year old again. So I set butcher days for my other roos for when they r 18 weeks. Next butchering will be the 1st of September.

These lil' tikes r already in the big coop and free ranging!! I hate how fast they grow. But they still need a heat lamp at night.

Ralph your turkey sounds vicious!!

I am glad everyone stayed safe yesterday!!

As much as chicks are cute I can't wait for them to grow up and be less dependent on me. I'm the same way with kittens and puppies.

For those who slaughter their own chickens..

Why not just chop the head off right away? I've been watching YouTube videos, folks slice the jugular and let them bleed out firsf.

I have found it cleaner and easier to slice the jugular. Then u can still hold the head without them shaking it all over and covering u with blood.
