I have water everywhere for mine. But they may be in mourning the loss of the guinea from the needless senseless gang slaying that occurred yesterday.

I am not sure but I may have lost 2 more of them today. I only saw 3 at coop closing time. I thought I heard one in the woods but who knows.

I understand the worry of city raised chickens. I have the trouble inner city Guineas here and, Well, to be honest, they are a handful. You would not believe the piercing they got recently!

I did the same thing this spring when cleaning my brooder. I had leaned the hover box against the wall and it was a bit tippy. One chick went under the edge of the box, then a second jumped on top and tipped the box over and squished the first chick before i could catch it. Even birds who are born to die shouldn't have to suffer those kinds of deaths :(

Can you separate her in a dog cage where she can see the others and they can see her, but they cannot get to her to peck her until she is healed? One little sore and they seem to go crazy pecking it.

Thanks for the concern, I hope it is for the chick I killed and not the guineas.....At times I wish all the guineas would kill each other they are so misbehaved, BUT I have to admit they keep me entertained, as I have no idea what they will do next, or where they are headed. They are just not right in the head.
 
Ralphie why is your mom taking care of the birds?? Is your DW going with you to the center of the universe?? Some quality time away from the parents isn't it?
