A whole chicken is $10 at the grocery store. Holy crap. So got these $4 quarters instead.

Today was the kind of day at work that is best described by words that dont belong in this forum, so I came home and got some good quality 'power tool' therapy with my favorite two sidekicks. I started working on reclaiming overgrown parts of my farmstead. Grass to my head was quick work with 'The Widowmaker!' there are young trees that have never been trimmed that got a nice haircut as well!

I don't know why you crazy people would rinse the salt off your chickens after brining? I add more!!! Love that salty, crisp skin after it bakes. MMMmmmmm, it's the best part! And surprisingly my blood pressure is really good. LOL I don't overdo the salt, really, but I don't rinse, they go in the way they come out of the brine. All this food talk is making me hungry though. I should go eat.

Until the wounds are healed over Klop Klop and no red marks are visible. Or until the blue kote gets applied. You'll find it though. It's in even the smallest farm supply store. Sooo easy to find.

Red is a picking color. If I wear a red shirt in the yard my rooster gets Bat Crap crazy.

Fleet farm didnt have it and my local farm store hadn't even heard of it! the FF website lists it, but they didnt have any in our store.

Next question, And I assume this is for the guys only. When nature calls, I seldom go all the way into the house. When I find the proper place to relieve myself, I find chickens come running as if I am giving them a treat... It is so gross, your chickens drink urine too?
I know what you mean about them coming running, they do that to me too but ive not seen them actually drink it or peck where it happened. I usually try and relieve myself at intervals around the coops with hopes that it may ward off predators. Does it work? no idea but ive not had any critters in my coops/runs as far as i know

That seems odd. Maybe you were not looking in the right place?? The L&M here has it in the horse aisle. There was some place I can not remember what store but they had it in the human health section with the peroxide and such. I don't know??!!

@gofeedthegirls Velveeta mac and cheese happens to be one of my favorites!
