Minnesota!

Speaking of roosters, we finally picked a name for our Rainbow roo we kept. We were at the wedding and met an older gentleman with a great name, such inspiring us to name him Conrad!
We also got a few good old lady name ideas

I like it. And more names for your hens is always nice too!

Anyone looking for a mixed breed turkey he is free to good home. He would be yummy for thanksgiving or any old occasion. He is 1 year old.

Alas, i think i will be waiting until next year to add turkeys to our farm. If I was to bring one home and tell DW that it was free she probably wouldn't care but then again i would still need to put together some kind of housing and my list of 'finish before snow falls' projects is pretty much booked for the year. I have been reading up on turkey keeping though!

I have had a creamette that has been outside every morning before I let the birds out...

We found her roosting spot tonight and forced her indoors. I hope she is not smart enough to move it before tomorrow night. And I hope she goes no higher in the tree, I could barely get her with a ten foot pole!

Oh and she hides in the leafs too!! sneaky little biddy.
