I like Cajun creole also BUT not all the time and not right before bed...When you get my age you will know why..





I am baby free today. I let my last babies out of the brooder tractor, everyone is free range now. There will be crying tonight when they find out they have to go in with the big birds..




This does not include CX's they are free ranging but they will live in their brooder until Oct 10th. after that only 5 will live in the tractor brooder.

I do not think they would on purpose, BUT if a turkey tried to defend a poult they could kill them, I think....maybe..

I am not sure what a full grown turkey would do, give up or fight back. I know if they want to fight back they could do damage. I have had two hens attack me this year for being too close to their babies and it scared the pants off me......... I gave way to them.

That is what I was thinking. Holm's offer of a turkey got me daydreaming about turkeys and where I would keep them and what I would house them in. I have a folder that I keep papers in for when I make sketches of things I am thinking of building (poultry related or otherwise) and I have been adding turkey related drawings today

if a coon was given the opportunity to take a turkey, I believe they would have no problem killing one. raccoons are TOUGH!!

I've watched big raccoons with a bullet hole in them, come out of the tree and kick a coonhounds butt.

Perhaps I gave out too many ovations for BYC liking and they will withhold them from me. I don't know.

I like the folder of poultry drawings idea. I write things down and doodle little ideas but I don't keep them in one place. Same thing with like a garden notebook. What variety did I grow, how did it grow, yield...etc. I really should do that too. Right now I have a small tote with empty seep packages for my memory's sake. But that won't help me in the long run.

Cyrus, lettuce is hot. LOL!
