hey cyrus, congrats! its easier when you know what to expect, isn't it? exciting news, though even if it won't be your first baby.

my daughter is due in October, that will be my very first grandchild. I can't wait.

thinking of getting a game cam for the chickens. Anyone using one? does it work? couple years ago I borrowed one and all I got were pics of weeds blowing. and leaves blowing. and birds flying. and branches moving in the wind.

I was working outside on some stuff and my pup was lazing nearby when I realize she is gone. I went looking for her and guess where she got stuck:...

She walked right over the temp fencing that I'm using to guide the flock into the garden and got penned in. I guess she wanted to share the apples I had brought them :)

I picked 4 of the 5 CX's that will survive Camp Day. I took the 2 friendliest, I think it is a hen and a rooster, and I took the 2 that were chasing bugs the furthest from the brooder, in the tall grass.

The two friendly ones have been named Miss Piggy and Kermit. That is because they will be frog or toad parents with luck, I put bands on them so those 4 are in, unless I am wrong on their sexes or they lose their bands. I told them all keep a close watch on those bands because if you lose them your October could be bad.

Miss Piggy getting treats and introducing herself to Pearl and letting Pearl know she is here to stay. Pearl was overjoyed as you can tell.
