You did miss something. We figured out that if something goes after our chickens, whatever it may be, we must hunt them down and exterminate their entire species. Then we can meet at the local bar and drink whiskey and give our horses beer.

my poor puppy hurt her leg and is all layed up she didnt even want to get off the couch and help with chores this morning like usual. Her upper back leg is all puffy and she isnt putting much weight on it. hopefully it is just a pulled muscle or something.

sounds like some puppy loving care is needed.. hope she is better soon...

Just to set the record straight, the natural predator which kept the wolf population in check was the Sasquatch. The Native Americans hunted that species to near extinction I am told. The lone exception being the one under contract to Jack Link and appearing in the Link TV commercials.
Varmints or no varmints, it is always a great day to be a keeper of poultry.

You are kidding me! When I had hen turkeys here they were all over the place and roosted all over and crapped all over. Would not be a choice for in-town.

I would love to see someone try keeping a peafowl in town. LMBO, would give the poor kids in the neighborhood, and possibly a few adults, nightmares with that sound they make! I, however, love to hear them.

Ever watch the Disney movie UP. The rare bird "Kevin" sounds like them.

That is the rare Red Bovinian Grass grazer.

I think they are an ancestor to Guineas.

I forgot to add. They are poor flyers and break most roosts they sit on. But they can jump over the moon.

You might be right on it being a rare Red Bovinian Grass grazer but I don't think they are related to guineas. It looks like it has a MUCH bigger brain.
