Minnesota!

Fun surprise tonight at lockdown. I am trying to count heads and I kept getting distracted by a squeak sound. I turn to check the door and then it was behind me again. I follow the sound to the top of the crib and I found a kitten! It can't even be 2 days old. I kept my distance but it was sweet to see

After updating my iPhone I can no longer upload photos. Need to drag myself to my laptop. *nothappy*

I just spent 3 hours trying to get my photos from my IPhone to the PC... what a chore.

Coffee you girls are doing great! Do the dogs run from them yet?

Here are some pictures on my new iPhone, my old one took a shower.

These are mainly pictures of Bert Jr.

As you can see he is becoming a big boy!

And this is a picture or Bert Jr's Mom. We refer to Bert Jr simply as Junior.

The girls are already fighting for the right to have his babies.

I found out why the eagles and vultures have been around. I usually go right out of the driveway to go to town. It is the same distance either way, but I don't like the big curve once you get over the river if I go left. But after seeing a vulture land and take off from a spot just south of the driveway, I took a look. Sure enough, there is a carcass of some kind laying in the grass just about in the field. I knew something dead was drawing them in.

I went to a knitting group meet up tonight in town. Mostly ladies I knew only by sight and name, but not really acquainted with, so it was really nice to meet some new companions and spend time with an old one. Maybe I will get that baby blanket done before the baby turns a year old! LOL

For the most part, I love my iPhone. I hate updates on my iPhone. Every time there is one it screws everything all up. I got a new iMac this Spring, and it has had its share of snags too, but only because of some of the stupid stuff they do at Apple.

Speaking of apples, I hope tomorrow I can go out and see if there are enough to get at freezing a bunch for apple pies over the winter. I may try apple butter, we will see. My husband made enough applesauce last year that we still have quite a bit of it. Next year, if we spray and get a nice crop, I may take them to the farmer's market or sell on FB or something. I know the chickens will enjoy whatever I can muster up off the ground this year.
I have a couple of American Plum trees that DH keep pruned nice and they are fruiting right now. I would like to make a batch of plum jelly, maybe even some apple-plum jelly!

I think we will have to dig all the potatoes to make room for the garlic. I am sure my husband is going to flip when I announce that! We really need a root cellar!
