For LaLa: Lala this is nutrients, probiotics and electrolytes for Poultry. I've used it for quite a while basically because it's all I could find and its very cheap.

where can you find it?

I found mine at L & M (like a farm and fleet place). I'd think it would be easy to order as well. But the shipping would most likely outweigh the cost of the stuff. I'm sure nutridrench is comparible Cluckies.

I also picked up one of these to put in the nesting box. since mine always try and use the same box, it worked great to keep my eggs from freezing most days. I leave for work at 4:45am and don't get home until 4 or so to collect eggs, so needed to try something.

Do chickens show signs of discomfort before they start to develope frostbite? someone mentioned they will stick their heads under their wings? Anything else? Luckly I have have my 2x4 roost with the 4" side sticking up so I think I will be good on that end of the deal. But I am a little worried about my RIR and my BR since they do have single combs :/
