Minnesota!

Do you all remember this little creamette we hatched this spring and I gave to my friend?

Well today she became a big girl.

I'm constantly reminded that my passion for these birds is not unfounded.

Gratz BC!!

I am thinking mine should be laying but they are not yet,,

Here are some of the roosters I want to give away/trade. Sorry the pictures are so poor, but they do not stand still to be photographed. I had to lighten the pictures slightly to get the color patterns to show up, so the birds are a little darker than they appear, but not much.

More shots of our cats, yes plural now. I readjusted my camera and have been bringing out food daily. the cat in top photo is very similar to the tom cat that used to prowl our farm before the coons ran them off. I suspect he must be at one of the neighbor farms spreading his family tree.

As long as they leave the chicks alone, I think they would be great, I could use a mouser here, but am afraid of what they could do to the chicks!

What color did you decide they were? I mean the name of it. I can see they are tigerish and greyish..

They are lookers! I'm putting all the EE in the new coop with my EE roo, but am trying to decide what other roo will be in there also as there will be about 17 ladies also. The EE hatchling is related, & the other cool roo that I have is a Speckled Sussex. I think you need some SS added into your flock & I'll help you reduce your creamettes

Here are the turkeys, as you can see they are meth users from the missing tail feathers.

The other one was showing off, until I got the camera out. Then he became shy.

They are beautiful!! Thanks so much. Can't wait to show the picture to my friends!

Just got back from behind the cheese curtain. Did a little dirt bike riding and We made a huge bonfire. It was about 25x25x20 before we lit it. Smallest in years. One of my friends broke his leg. Broke it in five spots just below the knee.

Awwww, our baby is a big girl now. Soon she'll be going to the chicken prom..

The reproductive force is strong with this flock.

Even Mighty Max, our Banty Cochin is racing after the busty hens

Poor Inga sought refuge by me from the dudes.

I was looking at my CX's tonight, with a critical eye. I am semi disappointed in this group. I have been noticing a lot of size differentia. as Minnie said hers had. Very inconsistent.

I have some nice ones but none will dress 13 pounds this year, which is disappointing in and of itself.

I am having trouble telling the cockerels. At this age they should have larger red waddles and combs, I see none. My Mom was out there tonight and I even asked her do you see any roosters?

She said "No, I was looking the other day, I wonder if you got all hens."

What do you think should I be able to see the difference now, they were 11 weeks old last Tuesday?

The only have 13 days to make themselves known.
