Hey, I have a Petunia!  Redchicken and Whitechicken?  I totally get it.

There are several RIR hens that are very friendly and like to be picked up but are indistinguishable from eachother. They share the collective name of 'RedChicken' which is a reference to the all time classic movie 'red dog'. (Watch it, you will love it, you will probably cry)

Similar thing with our leghorns who were our first chickens of the flock - aka WhiteChicken

I really want a few more BuffOrps...

My favs have always been BO's, which are always named Jenny. Last year that family gave me a BO in the group, I was so happy to have a buff again. She's a funny one, her hackles on her neck all twist to the side, like a giant cowlick. Now she will have a "sister" - funny how like sticks with like in chicken flocks.

ok, back to work. I just couldn't resist posting because I am so excited! chickens are falling from the skies!

and I love the follow up to it when he checked back on her and she told him she was shopping (more "normal" behavior) and she actually was buying muckers and flannel for Freezer Camp Day. LOL. I even shared both posts with DH.

That was good, BUT you should hear her sons reaction when she found she was meeting "internet" people.

He has a white bib and 4 white feed. we have been calling him 'Socks' for now but he may get a new name if it sticks

No, I didn't not have kids of my own back then. I was nanny for my sister for a couple of years though and they watch that and GI Joe and Transformers EVERY DAY. LOL

I must say, you have been on a roll lately. Great story, and so was the one about Bowser. I know when we lost our old dog, I could hear him running by for two weeks, those tags clinking together. It has been over 10 years and I still miss him. He was a Chow/Doby mix and was the most wonderful family dog you could ever want. His sister was the complete opposite, a total psycho and we had to take her back to the Humane Society at 6-months before her jealous rage against her brother turned on a human. Our pups name was Trouble, but his name did not fit him at all.

Mix is right. But I have seen a lot of pictures of Legbars that there seems to be little consistency in the color of the breed, then some have crests and some don't. I like to stick with the tried and true breeds, unless am playing with a fun pairing like my Barred bantam hen with a Silkie or Faverolle. I need to take some of those pictures!

That was good, BUT you should hear her sons reaction when she found she was meeting "internet" people.

My kids haven't reached the age yet where they think they can tell me how to live my life. My oldest sent me a video and said it reminded him of me with them (my kids). It was of Hulk and Loki, from the Avengers, where Hulk grabs Loki and slams him on the ground a few times. I said, "Specifically, does it remind you of the morning you called me the B word?" He answered to the affirmative. LOL Just once, that is all it takes He is 6-foot, I am 5'2", but he still knows not to mess with - not that he would now. Kids, they are so funny sometimes.
