I make chicken coops in my driveway out of wood shipping pallets. I'm not finished with this one yet, I'm asking 1,000 I live in Albertville

So what do you all do with your extra eggs?
I have resorted to making egg salad sandwiches 2 times in the last 3 days! Good thing everyone loves them! I made so much today it is lunch & supper! Yikes! And I still have 5.5 dozen sitting in the fridge. and collecting today has me at a dozen already. Egg overload! No, I don't sell them, not my cup of tea. I barter with family but lately nothing to barter for.
Looking for more recipes to change things up around here. Before we get egged out!

Rhett's my family loves an egg quiche night or breakfast bake for supper. White bread with butter and yellow mustard, chopped ham or sausage, green onion, bell pepps, and a dozen eggs in a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Mmmm

@Bogtown Chick

My inner lioness comes out when I hear about "families". Such b u l l s h i t.

I may be a bleeding heart treehugger but personal responsibility is personal responsibility. Hold the school accountable!

Beautiful coop. But you need to post this in the buy sell or trade section of BYC. I'm Not a huge rules person but BYC has theirs.

Does this mean I need to move my signature line to the buy sell area too? Scandiafowl, I agree, the school, the bus driver and the kid have to all be held accountable. There is no excuse for bullying.

Palletshedguy Welcome to the thread. Nice looking coops. Good luck selling them. Anytime you need to work on a larger coop not in your driveway you are welcome to come work on mine..... Do you have chickens yourself?

Lol. Ralphie when a retired guy such as yourself is selling peach detective and chicken exorcism services and diamond encrusted creamers and creamettes I'm guessing you're onThe right thread right here with all the rest of the goof-balls.

Btw the bus driver is fabulous. He's loved by all the kids and told the offender he's being written up. DS said that a few other older kids getting off the bus brushed up against the kid with light cuffs you'd give this kind of chuckle head.
I'm thinking I will be satisfied with the outcome. In general though I'm prepared for the "hand holding" that may be required to get there.

Oh I forgot why I came here, this time,,DUH,,

I am working in my shed, cleaning it and making room for my boat and sawmill for the winter. I happen to see Bert Jr chasing a little EE hen. I thought no way Junior is going to try and mate her. The hen ran into the Creamettes pen. Jr grabbed the back of her neck, she squawked and broke free.

The EE ran into the Creamettes coop. Bert Jr followed and got stuck at the door. He is about twice the size the door is and could just look inside, The Hen was safe. Poor Bert Jr had such a disappointed look on his face.

Bert Junior is feeling like he is quite the "man" these days he is the only rooster free ranging so he has all the hens to himself. Not that any of the hens want him. He better enjoy it now as Ed is going to be rejoining the flock soon. I need Ed's protection over the girls, and Ed is not too rough on the girls like some of them are.

I can understand your disinterest in selling them. We are fortunate to live in a depressed market so I can sell every egg i dont care to eat, but if you dont have a market i can see it being daunting and not worth it. You can feed hard boiled eggs to your feeder pigs. the protein is good for them. or so I have read :) I really want to try feeder pigs in the near future so i have read a ton. I want to try and form a relationship with the dairy farm down the road before i do to see if i can get any 'scrap milk' from them. ive heard that is a good way to get them the nutrients they need to make them meaty for cheap.

DW better be ready after we get the new house built, because all bets will be off :) KlopKlop is going full farmer!
