Minnesota!

Awesome news Klop. Except for the part where they don't pay you for your time..... They should at least throw a little something extra in like a chain and bar.

Maybe I can negotiate when I go get it on Friday. My old one went in with a 20" bar that I added after I bought it, and I expect to get that back too. An 18" bar would be a nice peace offering too :)
Honestly I would settle for them sharpening the chain though

ok, I found this on controlling rats on a poultry farm: http://www.farmers.coop/uploads/media/12-55011_Rodent_Control_Bulletin_FILE.pdf

sort of helpful. I didnt know that I should remove water at night!

I did know I am supposed to feed only enough so there is no chicken feed on the ground but.....my flock tends to scratch out feed, dump feed, etc....I have a bunch of different feeders. I have tried the long rectangular ones with the wire guards, and they tend to leave feed at the bottom.

also, because rats learn fast, you are supposed to have multiple traps for one or two nights, after that you won't catch any. So, a poultry farm might have 150 traps set each night!

that translates to probably 10 at my place.

I agree. Not sure how long you have been following the thread but I am 'brooding' 4 kittens in my basement whose mama was hit by a car. They will be resident mousers when they are older

How are the kittens doing, by the way? Little things are lucky to have you. You should post some updated pictures soon!

They are well! Off the bottle and drinking from a saucer now. They are also taking well to the litter box. They will start getting soaked dry food tonight or tomorrow.

I will try and get some photos of them tonight or tomorrow. I am stuck in town late tonight doing youth stuff at church.
