Good morning all!

I was out tending the chickens this morning at 4:30, I coughed and heard an answering howl. Twice. That yote did not sound very far away I'll tell ya.
oh man, that bites. Hope it sells soon.

On the chicken chasing dog note, so a couple days ago my dog Brox was sitting there minding his own business looking over at the neighbors. My Fi starts walking up to him very slowly, like stalking, very intently looking at him. I just watched to see what would happen... right at the last second she rushes forward and

And...... (siting on edge of chair..




BTW MEN.. do not say to your wife " ahhh you look beautiful again"..... ( I just learned this the hard way.

Morning all!

I was startled this morning when I went out to open coops and there was a barred rock hen sitting on the ramp huddled against the pop door. Poor girl was stuck out all night.

I was startled this morning when I went out to open coops and there was a barred rock hen sitting on the ramp huddled against the pop door. Poor girl was stuck out all night.

I bet she did fine and was on a roost all night, once the sun came up she wanted her friends is all.

Glad she made it through the night, that is always my concern.

I was startled this morning when I went out to open coops and there was a barred rock hen sitting on the ramp huddled against the pop door. Poor girl was stuck out all night.

Awwwe...poor thing! Thankfully it wasn't -20 (yet).
Did she get a warm welcome?

Yes she ran right in when opened the door and buck went right to her. It was very sweet

I heard that parts of the state could see 70 again today! Get out if you can!

We won't be seeing 70 here. Northeast wind kicked in yesterday afternoon and the temps dropped 25 degrees with thick fog. Thank you, Lake Superior!
