Minnesota!

Mine are not part leghorn they are 83% roadrunner and the rest is some obscure breed that lays 12 eggs a year...

My hens have barely a comb at all and it is a single comb, that looked like arose kind of to me. I know a crest is not required, BUT mine all have more crest than comb. I suppose I just have better birds that this guy.

What is wrong? Why are you guys not posting? I am home now and it is time for a Mikes. I need posts to read with my Mikes.....

Blanchranch was here and we processed his turkey. It took about 40 minutes or so.

I charged him $3.50 a pound like Minnie said. It came to $168. He weighed 48 pounds.

Blanchranch and I had a hard time deciding how to weigh the turkey. We used a platform scale.

Blanchranch Complained when I weighed the head with the body.

The head weighed a pound so that is over 3 bucks. I gave in on the head and threw it off the scale. BUT I held my ground on the feathers. He wanted to pluck it first.

Some guys are sooooooo cheap...

The bird was beautiful looking once dressed. The size of the thighs was amazing!

He dressed out at 30 pounds.

I would have liked to have seen a picture of it dressed. I am speechless at the price

Dang the K fell off my Pink, making it a pin gun!

and here I was thinking I really needed to expand my gun knowledge as have never heard of a pin gun!

you know, it is raining like the dickens And there is nothing better than coming home (that was a hellacious drive in the storm) in pouring rain and finding every chicken tucked in nicely in the coop, and every little quail on the roost. Nice!

got lots of time to hold the new baby. Do you know, you aren't supposed to have a blanket with the babies anymore. My daughter, being a new mom, was worried when I popped the baby in the moses basket with a light weight little receiving blanket. She insisted I stay right next to the baby to make sure she didn't smother.
