The best Mac and cheese I ever had was at the Hilton in down town Minneapolis. It was a home made type with im sure more than one type of cheese ....and.... Bacon bits. Omg it was so good. I should email them and see if they'll send a recipe to me.

Organic stamps are not what the consumer is envisioning. They are envisioning "Pastured" animals. So it's a VERY misleading term. From what I understand organic is tough to get done. The Duluth egg company Locally Laid, uses not GMO corn to feed their hens, but it's not organic. The non GMO from what i understand is difficult for them to source, even.

And I just wanted a Locally Laid tshirt

i decided to take advantage of the night in to catch up on farm paperwork. Ive got to get the last 3 months of chicken expenses entered into my books. I have been trying to keep meticulous books since i am new to the farm tax jazz.

PS the wind and dark didnt keep me in tonight. I scooped out poopy coops, washed and refilled all my waterers, filled feeders, picked a record high of 48 eggs, plus spent some time hanging in the coop with my hens. they were suprisingly friendly today and many that i cant usually touch let me pet them. it was very nice!

I just saw a FB post on a MN turkey free ranged at Ferndale Farms and value is 3.49 lb. 2.99 lb if you pre-book the bird. So the price was about right.

Just a heads up. Ralphie is a great guy as most of us know well and I don't think he would ever intentionally overcharge someone. Matter of fact I had to up the price because he was being too nice.

IMHO any backyard chicken or backyard turkey will be way better than any non-GMO, Organic farmed animal. As we all know. Our birds are well taken care of and loved even if you try to stay away from the ones that give you their lives so you can eat better. Seems to me the meat birds are nicer too. So long story short. Farms have nothing on our birds. Plain and simple.

Also, my www 2 vet dad was yelling about yuppies and how they will pay anything for something and they were to blame for inflation, back in the 70s. Not that I don't agree with your points. But the word has been around at least that long.
