Minnesota!

I'm debating on deer hunting again this weekend, but the past two weekends have been perfect...I'm worried I'll be pushing my Minnesota luck.

When hens start laying eggs and there are roosters around can I assume that some eggs will be fertile?
I'm itchin' to hatch a batch.

If you crack an egg and it has little white bits hanging onto the yolk, it's been fertilized.
Not that you can then incubate that :) at least you know the Roo is doing his thing

Sorry for causing so much trouble here. I just want you all to know that I find no joy in killing animals and never have. I actually get quite sad after killing one. The only reason I was excited is because I know that by doing this we can eat SO much healthier than people that live of fast food. I have nothing against vegans or vegatarians but I dont want to change my lifestyle because they dont think its right to kill an animal. I would rather go hunt and kill an animal that has had a happy life. Than go to the store and buy meat from aninals that lived horrible lives where knowone cared what happened to them.

You have no reason to be sorry. Sometimes us grown ups need to rein in and think about what we are talking about here. You are doing what you believe is right and you are helping to feed your family, there is nothing to be sorry for. The fact that you can speak up with all of us adults here and be as eloquent as you are and are not afraid to speak up, if you were my son, I would be very proud of you.

Thanks Minnie. Someyimes my speaking up and not being afraid to is a bad thing.

You caused absolutely no trouble. And you don't have to justify hunting. That I didn't want to see photos is my issue, no reflection on you.

Militant vegans get on my nerves.
