Klopklop, are you going to try to keep them sort of corralled for a few days so they get used to the new quarters?  I would be nervous too......what if they wander off because it is all so new to them?  are they like chickens and need to learn where "home" is?

I was thinking the same. I think I will keep the cat flap blocked for a few days so they will get run of just the one room in the shop to get used to it. Then I was thinking of running a fence area outside the flap so I'm glad you think the same. I was thinking it was maybe me being over protective.

Hmm houseplants. I keep them. well I 'try' to keep them. I by no means am a green thumb. But I was wondering something. I just noticed a plant (no I don't know what kind) I had gotten as a gift last year had bugs in the dirt and crawling around the plate I had it on. Grossed me out and I tossed it out. What the heck? I am assuming they came from the store the plant came from?? I don't know. I have plants my daughters started from seeds that do not have these bugs in them. Is it normal to have bugs in indoor plants or no? I wasn't too keen on it and hope they don't get into the other plants. Makes me wonder about started my veggies for the garden inside now. BTW when do you all start your garden plants indoors and which ones? This will be my second year with a garden so I have a lot still to learn!

I keep a spray bottle of house plant pesticide on hand for when that happens and spray them on occasions on my plants I keep at work as a preventative so I don't cause hassles to anyone in the office. Very similar to getting fruit flies around your fruit bowl. It just happens sometimes.

is there an organic type pesticide for plants? We have started organic apple seeds in organic dirt about 3 inches tall now. I would hate to spray them with chemicals after all our hard work.

Hit google. I am sure there is, I just don't know what it is. I bought this spray bottle many years ago and it is lasting me so I keep using it. Its active ingredient is Pyrethin. It claims to be safe for food plants, but I wouldn't use it (especially if you are going organic)

I figure since they are non food plants and indoors, it probably isn't hurting anything

Still pregnant! They look huge! I am doing 'udder checks' daily to look for any filling of the bags.

so silly me. I am so impatient. No action yet though so should still be a bit from my ignorant self knowledge on the matter. Would love to have someone who knows a thing or two come here and give me some real deal knowledge!

Well when the day comes we get cattle I will be counting on you as my expert

We have to convert out 4.5 acres of tilled field to pasture first. This year our renter is doing beans so I'm hoping to convince DW to let me start that next spring and do a no-till drill of pasture mix. It will need time to grow at least a year or more for nice lush pasture

Here's what I made my dad, it's a cooler. I made it out of pallet wood
