One of my teen roosters enjoys, as I discovered last night, sleeping in the nesting boxes. This explains while there are piles of poop in them.
Unless he's a hen, but I don't think so.

I have a skittish hen who sleeps in a nest box, and I have to clean it out every morning. But there are enough nest boxes that no one uses hers as a nest.

I think it is funny when a hen lays an egg somewhere on the roosting shelf, and then none of the hens will sleep in that spot. I can always tell there is an egg up there by the way they avoid the space when roosting!

I am happy it is warmer, but not happy about the skunk that is around, nor the muck that is about to commence!

I hate it whwn birds sleep in the nest boxes! I have a Muscovy hen who sleeps in the boxes and it drives me crazy!

They should hatch the 24th or so for the first batch, the next one will be the March 3rd.
I did get a couple of Fav eggs developing too.

However, @destiny_56085 has some already out of the shell if you want to check with her on the Favs. Just let me know.

Honestly... I have been reading so much about the Bucks they r the only breed I want. They fascinate me! I want a whole flock of them! They r PERFECT for our climate and what we r looking for. Now I just need to have some to seal the deal
