Congrats on the egg! How old are your pullets? I am impatiently awaiting my first egg as well. It feels like they have been freeloading forever.
First egg ever!!! Came last evening. Nothing today but i officially opened the nest box area for "business". My australorps are SOOO noisy right now! I'm almost sure it's one of them, but am excited for the fun to come. Thanks for all the support, help, comments, encouragement, especially to Minnie!
I found my first pullet egg today, a crossbreed little bantam hen. She is the cutest little thing! Sorry, no pictures. I was too busy splitting up birds from pens where I have some real )(*$)*@% cockerels who are getting so nasty they have killed other birds. I had to put one down when I caught him in the act. That just really torques me to see!

Mine are between 15 and 22 weeks. The BA pullets are the oldest and they came to lay within 2 days of one another. My other ones aren't too far behind, they squat and are getting very noisy. My buckeyes are probably 18 weeks and are too busy shoveling feed into their mouth to make any noise!
