Hello everyone! CLOVER VALLEY here up by Two Harbors, it is cold and I am so anxious to order my years chicks but I'll have to wait another month or so. We are doing Bourbon Red turkeys this year as well as expanding our meat bird production to 2 batches of 50 freedom rangers or red broilers, and getting more layers. We are going to get Norwegian Jaerhons (NORWEGIAN very' CHICKENS DUDE!!!) how perfect is that for us, huh? If anyone up here wants to go together on the broilers or turkeys let me know. Does anyone in Mn have any chicks they are willing to part with? I incubated shipped eggs. Only two hatched and one of them died yesterday. The one left is very lonely. It would be ideal if it was around me, but will consider alternatives as well. I feel soo bad for the one alive.

Wegs..so sorry you had a bad hatch and have just a poor lone chickie. Wish I could help. I am so anxious to start hatching but too early for me. I sure would love to hatch for someone else if they wanted,though. It's so fun and exciting. Good Luck in finding a chick nearby. Pam

Wegs, I have 2 Splash Silkie chicks and a Bantam Gold laced Cochin hatched Jan 1st. I,m up in Cambridge. Maybe a little far for you but let me know. You can take them for company for your solo.

Thanks for all the replies. I found someone fairly close to me that had hatchlings. The chick is no longer a lone soldier....it has 3 new friends!!
