Anyone ever heard of a Minorca setting? I hadn't got the eggs in a couple of days and when I went to get them, to my suprise their set my only buff minorca. I didnt want her to set so I took her eggs, but when I got to the house I felt bad, so I took her eggs back down to the coop. When I got down their and she had gotten back in the nest in the DARK! So I gave in and gave her, her eggs back! She gladly took them back. This is my first time setting so I hope everything goes okay!

It is very possible with about any breed. Just not very likely with a lot though. But there is always exceptions to every rule.....

I never had a minorca set but, I had a black minorca that was broody last spring. She would sit on her nest for hours and would keep all the eggs in the nest warm, partly incubating them. She wasn't the only one that went broody and it was so sad to see partly incubated chicks come out of the eggs we were supposed to eat. I would've let them set but, I didn't have the space at the time for more chickens. I also had the problem of them roosting part of the night and leaving the eggs. I hope to possibly have my girls hatch some chicks next spring. Please post how it goes and good luck to you, your hen and her future babies!
